How to style your powder room

Your powder room may be small, but it is possibly the best place to showcase your home's signature style. In reality, most people that visit your home will enter your powder room at some stage.

So here are my my top tips on how to style it!

BEAUTIFUL HAND SOAP AND HAND CREAM

Is there anything more unappealing than a grotty, old bar of soap. Opt for a beautiful, matching hand soap and cream set to delight your guests. This is not only neat but also feels somewhat luxurious.

Don't forget to consider how the soaps will look in the powder room. A lemongrass and coconut handsoap might smell absolutely delicious, but how will that bright yellow and brown bottle go with the finishes in your bathroom?

HAND TOWELS

I would advise either opting for gorgeous linen-like thin cloth or something really fluffy and cozy. What you prefer is up to your personal preference. Why not go for a bold print to really bring some life and character into the space.

PLANTS PLANTS PLANTS

Bring a small indoor plant or even some freshly cut flowers to the powder room to make it feel extra lively and homely. If you are bringing a plant in make sure it is exposed to the sunlight it needs. This will vary depending on the type of plant you choose.

CANDLES

Light it up, baby!

ALL ABOUT THE TRAY

Put your candles or soaps on a small tray to add an extra dimension and layers to the space. I personally love the brass, Moroccan look however this will depend on the style of your home. I have seen chic perspex, mirrored trays which look fab in a really modern home!

LESS IS MORE

Powder rooms are conventionally small. DO NOT OVERCLUTTER the small surface area that exists. We don't need to see every flavour of soap and hand-cream you own. Choose one and keep it simple. Less is certainly more!
